The “Moving on with reading” fund raising campaign dedicated to the Romanian dyslexic children, carried out on all the OMV filling stations in Romania, has come to a very successful end: approximately 28,000 postcards were sold within the two months duration of the campaign and the benefits derived from their sale cumulated over 96,700 lei (approximately 23,000 Euro). The campaign is part of the “OMV Move & Help” educational program.

OMV customers from all around the country supported the “Moving on with reading” initiative by purchasing the four models of “OMV Move & Help” postcards between April and June 2010. The benefits from the sale of the postcards, totaling over 96,700 lei, go to the Romanian Association for Children with Dyslexia, in order to create awareness of the appropriate methods for the identification and specific teaching of the dyslexic child, as well as to provide guidance for the teachers and families of dyslexic children in Romania.

The money raised from the sale of the postcards was announced within a small ceremony at OMV Petrom Marketing’s headquarters in Bucharest.
